The modernization of Simple Workspace is built on three key focus areas.
Key focus 1 - Interoperability: putting data back at the heart of usage
PIM, MDM, ERP, PLM and business applications are often essential systems, sometimes perceived as complex or rigid. They truly deliver value only when they translate into concrete and visible use cases for teams.
By positioning itself as a central link between your information management systems and your communication materials, Simple Workspace turns product and editorial data into reliable, up-to-date documents that comply with brand guidelines, without adding complexity or process overhead for business users.
To accelerate interoperability with your information systems, we are introducing a task engine based on an ETL dedicated to editorial use cases. The approach follows three steps: data extraction (Extract), transformation (Transform) and loading (Load) for content and document production.
Do you need to produce thousands or even millions of documents? This engine is designed to absorb these volumes while ensuring performance, reliability and consistency.
Key focus 2 - The 3As: Improve, Accelerate, Simplify
To speed up the project setup phase, we are also working on rationalizing the working environment to give users greater autonomy.
This includes:
- A refreshed user interface, highly anticipated by our clients and partners, to improve readability and ease of use.
- The introduction of a module to manage communication material orders.
- Simplified creation of our modules combining composition rules and InDesign master files that guarantee brand consistency, in line with our J2S Display offering.
The result is faster project deployments, lower costs and more autonomous teams.
Key focus 3 - Enhancing with AI: concrete use cases
The integration of artificial intelligence into Simple Workspace follows a pragmatic approach, focused on high-value use cases.
Among the first applications:
- Automatically adapting key layout ratios from a design to formats of different sizes and languages.
- Applying personalized actions to images, such as creating lifestyle visuals or changing materials or colors on selected elements.
- Rewriting or translating content.
- Proposing layout alternatives.
From the beginning, we communicate with InDesign and InDesign Server using structured XML instructions, interpreted by our plug-ins to automatically generate document layouts.
Today, this choice is a strategic advantage. XML is a structured and readable format, perfectly suited for automated processing and directly usable by artificial intelligence solutions.
With Simple Workspace, AI becomes an accelerator for teams, integrated into an industrial and controlled approach that remains fully compatible with strong business requirements.
