Despite the new IT tools and the new project management methods that are appearing, no matter how hard we work, we remain human beings. And making a project a success will always imply getting real people to work together.
Now, with that context established, here’s a brief mashup of common issues 😡 encountered in project management… and their solutions 😀 ! For there are always solutions.

Charlot and his colleagues are working on a production line: the role of one is to tighten a bolt in one direction, the part of the other is to strike a heavy wall here, etc. This is a solution found to the need for strong industrialization: specialization. It was certainly modern, but was it an improvement?

What do we all want? That the project works as planned, of course! The schedule should be respected for the day, we said at the kick-off meeting. We are a little worried that the workshops will not bring up any prickly subjects. And even if the document is not yet finalized, our clients ensure us that it will be ready in due time. For our part, we still have to verify one technical point. And even though the deadline has been set, the client still has to validate the availability of its teams when it has been planned.

In all teamwork, deadlines pressure those at the end of the production line. When it comes to creating a publication that is graphically rich (a newspaper, a magazine, an answer to a bid for proposals…), those in the graphic studio are rushed to make the final adjustments before delivering the files to the printer. In some cases, the modifications are even made at the printer’s, but that’s a completely different matter.
